A DOCTOR thought Tina was the nanny rather than the mother of her own child. Tina and Anton are parents to two-year-old Michelle and 10-month-old Mila. Michelle was born early and went into special care where one day, Tina was with her daughter and a doctor came in but waited for a few minutes so Tina asked if she was waiting for someone. The mother-of-two explained: “She [the doctor] said, no, I'm waiting for the mom to come because I have to talk to her about something. And I'm like, I'm the mom… The doctor said ‘sorry, I thought you were the nanny’.” Tina said the doctor apologised and the new mom forgave the mistake but added: “After that it actually dawned on me, I have to be ready when I go out of the hospital because anything at this point is possible.” They have ID cards for their daughters which Tina takes with her when she’s out with the children “just so I don't get asked questions that I'm not prepared for.” She has had other instances in public with people questioning if she is her daughters’ mother and decided to post about her experiences on her social media in a video which went viral. She said: “I just want to be a mom. I just want to be looked at as a mom. I don't want to be always attacked with that question.” The couple focuses on positive comments and enjoying family life. Anton said: “I hope we can continue this journey with all the followers and show people how amazing our children are.” Tina added: “My genes are going to fight back in the next round.
