"Avicenna and the Observant Young Man" by Ahmed Ibn Hemdem She Ketk-Hoda

This is a funny story from the works of Ahmed Ibn Hemdem She Ketk-Hoda. I found it in a rather dated translation in an Edwardian anthology, and updated and polished the sentences a little. I then recorded it with myself as narrator. I apologize if I mispronounce some Arabic words. I do my best.br br The text originally came from a Turkish writer known for his anecdotes in the Ottoman period. However, he only collected his anecdotes from original medieval sources. How much he altered these accounts I do not know. br br The narrator is me, Michael Henrik Wynn, editor of Historyradio.org, a 247 educational net radio stream, available online, at YouTube and via radio apps.
