"You and the Atom Bomb" (1945), by George Orwell

I have uploaded this radio segment I made today because Orwell, in some ways, predicts the notion of mutually assured destruction in 1945. And he also talks about "a cold war". Whereas Churchill's Iron Curtain speech occurred a year later, in 1946. I am the reader of this text (Michael Henrik Wynn, editor), which is PD in Europe where I live. The intro voices are from a Universal newsreel, and the ending song is Tom Lehrer's "Who's Next", from 1965. Both these have been donated to the public domain.br br Historyradio.org is a 247 educational net radio stream.
