Former President Rodrigo Duterte’s arrest is “pure and simple kidnapping,” his legal counsel and former Executive Secretary Salvador Medialdea said.br br Medialdea made the statement during Duterte’s first appearance before the International Criminal Court (ICC) on Friday.br br He also alleged that the ICC and President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. had formed an “unlikely alliance” in arresting the former president.
