HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. To Cut 10,000 More Jobs At HHS, Shrinking Workforce By 25%

Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. plans to cut 10,000 full-time jobs across the department, according to CNBC. The cuts are on top of the 10,000 voluntary departures since Trump took office and will reduce HHS’s workforce by 25. The department will also consolidate divisions, eliminate five regional offices, and centralize key functions. Kennedy says the overhaul will save nearly $2 billion annually and focus on reversing chronic disease. A new subdivision will combine programs addressing addiction, mental health, toxic substances, and more.
