The familiar sound of a cannon firing in Kampung Talang, located 250 km from Kuala Lumpur, marked the beginning of the Muslim holiday of Eid al-Fitr on Sunday (March 30), filling the village with life and excitement, as the fasting month of Ramadan comes to an end.
