The story follows Jake (William Moseley), a cop who, during a deadly mall shooting, is thrust into an alternate realm called “The Hindrance.” With the help of a mysterious Novice Monk (Alexander Lee), Jake must race against time to save his wife, Prang (Urassaya Sperbund), and stop the evil occultist Mek (Michele Morrone) from opening the Gates of Hell.
