Additionally, a meeting of the Cabinet Committee on Security (CCS) of India has been convened at 11:00 AM today.br br During the briefing, the Foreign Secretary said that India's retaliation was measured, proportionate, responsible, and non-escalatory. India's objective was to dismantle the infrastructure of terrorists to prevent their infiltration into India across the border.br br Two female spokesperson officers from the defense department stated that Indian forces attacked and destroyed a total of nine terrorist bases across the Line of Control and the International Border, starting from 1:05 AM to 1:30 AM on Tuesday night.br br During the briefing, officials also showed photographs of the destroyed bases in the Pakistani side. The two officers said that Operation Sindoor did not target any Pakistani military bases, nor were civilians targeted. He was supposed to visit Croatia, Norway, and the Netherlands from May 13 to 17. He also had plans to participate in the Nordic Summit to be held in Norway.br br Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has also cancelled his plan to attend the 'Victory Day' celebrations in Russia. Instead, Minister of State for Defence Sanjay Seth will represent India at the event.
