Srinagar (J&K): Zubaida Hameed, a young woman from Krankshoo village in Sopore — famously known as the "Apple Town" of North Kashmir — has set up her own spice manufacturing unit to promote local, traditional spices across the valley. Her brand, aptly named “AAPLE”, focuses on high-quality local spices including chili, turmeric, and sound (aniseed), among others.
