A man quit his corporate job to travel the world with his rescue dog - with the pair covering 24,500 miles and visiting 28 countries together so far. br br William Atek, an e-commerce business owner, 28, first adopted Jack Russell mix Elko, four, from a rescue centre in Los Angeles, California, in September 2022. br br After quitting his job working in IT and tech in January 2023, William decided to set up his own e-commerce business to work remotely. br br With "way more time" to travel, William and Elko set off for Thailand in March 2023 where they stayed for three months. br br William's partner, Heather Borngesser, 31, a content creator, joined the duo after their first trip and they have now travelled to 28 countries - including France, Turkey, Switzerland, Mexico, Croatia and Denmark.br br List of countries Elko has visited - br br 1.
