She was recently named Top 10 Finalist for Aster Guardians Global Nursing Award 2025, one of the world’s most prestigious recognitions for nurses. Selected out of over 100,000 applicants globally, Maheswari is an oncology nurse who created Malaysia’s Patient Navigation Programme, transforming breast cancer care for thousands of women by addressing both medical and systemic barriers. Her model is now adopted in multiple hospitals across the country and recognized by the World Health Organization.
