There is a yellow thunderstorm warning in place for eastern parts of Scotland and northern England for heavy thundery showers which are drifting their way eastwards. In the far southeast, areas such as Kent and Sussex could also see some heavy showers through the morning and into the afternoon. There will be scattered showers also for parts of northwest Scotland and Northern Ireland. For many though, it should be a bright and dry afternoon.
