Study on HPV baredbr br Dr. Ourland Tantengco, researcher of the Defeat HPV study, said that 1 in 7 women in the Philippines will likely test positive for human papillomavirus (HPV), a sexually-transmitted disease. Tantengco conducted a study with over 1,100 women from residents of Tondo, Manila, and Naic, Cavite. br br The study revealed that in Tondo, 15.1 of women tested positive for HPV. In Naic, 12.8 of women were infected, and one in four of them had multiple strains.
