JPJ issued RM445,800 in fines to Singaporean motorists for missing VEP

The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has issued RM445,800 in compound fines to Singaporean motorists entering Malaysia without the required Vehicle Entry Permit (VEP) between July 1 and Saturday (Aug 2).br br On Sunday (Aug 4), JPJ senior enforcement director Muhammad Kifli Ma Hassan reported that 1,489 summonses were issued during Ops Penguatkuasaan VEP a month-long enforcement operation targeting foreign-registered vehicles entering through Johor.
