The Queen City gets a boost in tourism spending during Labor Day Weekend and small businesses are reaping the benefits. While staple tourist attractions like Optimist Hall are steadily busy every weekend, one business owner Felix Godward noticed an exceptional boost in sales over the holiday. Most of the vendors in the food hall are local, including Felix Empanadas. "There's been pretty long lines all day today too," owner Felix Godward said on Labor Day. "Excited about that," he added. Felix Godward said they were expecting more crowds, but he was floored on Sunday when his stall saw a 49 increase in sales. He attributed a lot of the boost to out-of-towners.
