Gen Z & Millennials Are Rewriting Corporate Rules...br br #boAt Co-founder & CMO Aman Gupta recently shared on 'X' why he loves working with Gen Z and young Millennials. 🥹br br ➡️ He recalled his corporate days from 10 years ago — when just standing outside the boss’s cabin would make his hands and feet shake. Asking questions wasn’t even an option; there was only one line — “Yes Boss! Boss said do it… so it must be done.” 😬br br Today’s Gen Z and young Millennials think completely differently. The 14th annual #Deloitte Gen Z & Millennial Survey says the same. Based on responses from 23,482 people across 44 countries, it shows that this generation is rejecting old corporate rules and chasing a balance between career satisfaction and happiness. 🥲br br 💡 By 2030, Gen Z (1995–2006) and Millennials (1983–1994) will make up 74 of the global workforce — meaning businesses must understand their priorities.br br 📈 They want the trio — money, meaning, and well-being. Career progression is important, but leadership roles are not their primary goal. They value worklife balance and learning more.br br 📊 Only 6 of Gen Z say leadership is their top career goal — not because they lack ambition. Among the top three reasons for choosing an employer, learning & development ranks high. Many feel managers often miss providing guidance, inspiration, and mentorship.br br 💵 Financial insecurity is rising — 48 of Gen Z and 46 of Millennials don’t feel financially secure. Without that security, neither their well-being stays strong nor does their work feel meaningful.br br 🎯 For 89 of Gen Z and 92 of Millennials, purpose is critical. Purpose varies — for some, it’s social impact; for others, it’s earning money or learning skills to create resources so they can drive change in their free time.br br 🧠 Strong well-being boosts the sense of purpose at work — 67 of Gen Z and 72 of Millennials with positive mental health feel their work makes a meaningful contribution to society; in poor mental health, this drops to 44 and 46 respectively.br br Aman Gupta’s words and Deloitte’s data say the same thing — today’s young professionals are not just here to work, but to learn, earn, and find the real meaning in their lives. 🥹br br What’s your take on this?
