Tesla Records 14K New Insured Registrations In China From August 11 To 17 — 60% Surge Over Last Quarter

Tesla sales in China rose 4.5 in the week of August 11th to 17th, according to data shared by analyst Roland Pircher. The EV giant recorded 14,000 new insured registrations, marking a 60 jump from the prior quarter and the highest week of the quarter so far. The week was Tesla’s best-performing in the current quarter, though sales remain down 9.5 year-over-year and 5.9 year-to-date. Tesla recently launched the Model Y L, a six-seater SUV priced at 339,000 $47,184 with a 467-mile range. The company plans to release the long-range Model 3+ sedan with about 500 miles of range. Globally, sales are under pressure, with UK July deliveries down 60, while Norway registered a 24 increase in the first half of 2024.
