Amendments to the Competition Act 2010 will be tabled in Parliament by year-end, said Domestic Trade and Cost of Living Minister Datuk Armizan Mohd Ali.br br Winding up debates on the 13th Malaysia Plan in the Dewan Rakyat on Thursday (Aug 21), Armizan said the amendments will introduce a merger control regime to prevent cartels and monopolies. br br The ministry is also studying ways to strengthen detection and investigation of cartel and bid-rigging activities before procurement.
