He outlined a forward-looking strategy—diversification, connectivity, policy reform, and business collaboration—to build more balanced economic partnership between the two nations.br He made the remarks during the 26th Session of the India-Russia Inter-Governmental Commission for Trade, Economic, Scientific, Technological and Cultural Cooperation (IRIGC-TEC) in Moscow.br His comments came following President Donald Trump’s move in August 2025 to double tariffs on Indian exports to 50, along with an additional 25 duty tied to India’s continued purchase of Russian crude oil.
