Quokkas (Setonix brachyurus) are small wallaby-like marsupials found mainly on Rottnest Island, Australia. Known as the “world’s happiest animals” due to their friendly appearance and smile-like faces, they are herbivores feeding on grasses and leaves. Quokkas are nocturnal and live in groups, with females carrying joeys in their pouches. Despite their fame, they are a vulnerable species due to habitat loss and predators.
