Skeletal remains of some of the oldest human ancestors displayed for first time in Europebr br A unique exhibition has opened in the Czech Republic's National Museum showcasing fossilized skeletal remains of an early human ancestor which are dated at more than 3-million-year-old.br br Visitors to the museum will also be able to see models of the discovered Australopithecus afarensis, known as Lucy and Selam, as part of a 60-day loan from the National Museum of Ethiopia.br br Lucy is estimated to be 3.2 million years old, while, Selam, a child Australopithecus afarensis, is believed to be approximately 150,000 years older than Lucy.br br Lucy and Selam have never been on display in Europe before and are not available to the public in Ethiopia either. According to the museum, they have only previously been displayed publicly during a tour of the United States between 2007 and 2013.
