Bruce Forsyth's Generation Game - S5, Ep 3 (Sept 24th 1994)

Bruce Forsyth's Generation Game - S5, Ep 3 (Sept 24th 1994)

Today's contestants are Brian & Melody Lye from Suffolk, Mel Smith (no, not that one) & Julie Hodge from Gwent, Doris & Colin Picknell from the West Midlands, and Ann & Jon Fisher from Hampshire. Bruce Forsyth hosts, but not before an apology at the start for a crucial gaffe in last week's tiebreaker. As it is, assistant Rosemary Ford tries to trick him out of the way so she can sing one of her songs, while Brucie complains about the cold snap and the flu going about, which has also affected a few of the contestants. Most mention wedding mishap stories, but easily the best of the contestants is Doris Picknell, who proves a dream contestant for Brucie and his quips. Among the games are "Indian Hoops" (which descends into chaos when the contestants are told to create their own patterns - you'll know what I mean when you see it), "Pot Luck" (involving teapots), "Mime a Dance" and "Sweeping Willows" (cricket bat making) before the final two contestants compete in a Silent Drill with the youth cadets.
