Wei and Lan Wangji work together to solve the mystery of a reawakened evil entity, a severed arm. As they travel and investigate, Wei Wuxian is forced to confront his past and the hatred he faced before. The season is a blend of present-day mystery-solving, flashbacks to the Sunshot Campaign and Wei Wuxian's past.
