And he took up his oracle and said:br “Balak the king of Moab has brought me from Aram,br From the mountains of the east.br ‘Come, curse Jacob for me,br And come, denounce Israel!’br “How shall I curse whom God has not cursed?br And how shall I denounce whom the Lord has not denounced?br For from the top of the rocks I see him,br And from the hills I behold him;br There! A people dwelling alone,br Not reckoning itself among the nations.
