EX- LOVE ISLAND STAR SUFFERS HORRIFIC BIKE CRASHbr br With VID AND PIXbr br By Todd Sasinbr br This ex-Love Island star has shared how she was involved in a shocking, unexpected motorbike crash while solo travelling - leaving her with multiple wounds.br br While solo travelling in Thailand, Chanse Corbi’s adventure suddenly took a turn for the worst when the motorbike she was riding found its wheel stuck in a pothole at a motorway entrance which instantly caused her to launch off the vehicle.br br The 24-year-old told how she endured deep cuts across her body with her left leg being ‘completely stripped of skin’.br br The solo-traveller was visiting Chiang Mai, Thailand when disaster stuck. br br She said: “We decided on a final morning trip to the Sticky Waterfall before our flight.br br “On the way back, we hit a massive pothole in the middle of the freeway. The front tire twisted, throwing my friend from the back, and trapping me under the bike.br br “I skidded for ten feet, rolling over it before finally coming to a stop.”br br Chanse told how she ended sliding underneath the bike, while her friend, Connie, who was also riding the motorbike, came off the back of the vehicle.br br The accident proved to be costly as her injuries were left Chanse almost requiring a skin graft, while she was unable to walk for the following two weeks and spend months in and out of hospital. br br Meanwhile, Connie had her foot stabilised after having a broken ankle in three different places.br br Chanse, who originates from the USA but is currently residing in Airlie Beach, Queensland, Australia, is known to have previously participated in the fourth series of Love Island USA, where she originally entered Casa Amor before later departing the villa six days later.br br Prior to the accident taking place, the pair were preparing to depart Thailand, but having some time to spare, they opted to visit the Bua Thong Waterfalls.br br Travelling back from the waterfalls in a three-hour round trip, chaos soon splurged out when they hit the dreaded pothole, despite driving the speed limit, according to Chanse.br br Explaining about the accident, Chanse said: “My friend and I had a perfect week in Chiang Mai, exploring the city and mountains on a rented bike. With Thailand's relaxed laws, I, a first-time rider, had no trouble navigating until our very last day. br br “Her foot was broken, and I had a deep laceration from my sunglasses piercing my eyebrow. My left leg was completely stripped of skin, a gruesome wound that would later nearly require a skin graft.br br “An ambulance took us to the nearest hospital. They stitched my head and stabilised my friend's foot before she was transferred to another hospital.br br “Meanwhile, two sweet German boys we had met earlier came to our rescue, helping with our bags and giving us a place to stay.br br “The next week and a half were a blur. I couldn't walk, and my friend was lifted back to Italy for surgery. For me, the ordeal was far from over. I spent the next month and a half in and out of hospitals for my leg, which became severely infected.br br “At a different island in Thailand, I had to have the infection sliced off without any pain medication.br br “Throughout it all, people would laugh when they saw my bandages, thinking, 'just another American who crashed a motorbike.' And honestly, I found it kind of funny too.br br “I definitely should've worn more than a bikini, but I'm forever grateful I had a helmet. It was cracked on the left side, and without it, I know I wouldn’t be here to tell this story.
