Saint Carlo Acutis relics in Paisleybr br Over a thousands children packed St Mirin Cathedral in Paisley, Scotland, to catch a glimpse of the relics of new Saint Carlo Acutis, the first diocese in the world to receive his official relics since he was made a saint by Pope Leo on Sunday. September 10, 2025.br br The relics, which consists of two reliquaries, were flown on KLM flight cabin luggage via Amsterdam from Assisi, guarded by Monsignor Anthony Figueiredo. The relics contain, the Saint’s pericardium (part of the heart), his hair, part of his famous red teeshirt and the shroud he died in. br br Around a 100 children from across Paisley Diocese took part in a ceremony this morning. br Carlo Acutis (3 May 1991 – 12 October 2006) was an English-born Italian Catholic teenager. He was known for his devotion to the Eucharist and his use of digital media to promote Catholic devotion. Born in London and raised in Milan, he developed an early interest in computers and video games, teaching himself programming and web design and assisting his parish and school with digital projects.
