Rampur, Uttar Pradesh – A dramatic confrontation outside the Rampur District Court has gone viral after a woman thrashed her husband with slippers moments after he allegedly pronounced triple talaq.br br Asiya, a resident of Bambura village, married Ashid Ali of Dheemri village in 2018. The couple has two daughters, aged six and two. Asiya has accused her husband and in-laws of dowry harassment, domestic violence, and of throwing her out after childbirth. Five months ago, she filed a maintenance case and began living at her maternal home. She further alleges that her husband forcibly took away her daughters during the dispute.br br On Friday, after attending a family court hearing with her maternal aunt, Asiya claims her husband and father-in-law followed her outside, hurled abuses, and pressured her to withdraw her case. She alleges that, instigated by his father, Ashid Ali pronounced triple talaq three times and then assaulted her.br br In retaliation, Asiya attacked him with slippers, landing five strikes in five seconds, grabbed his collar, and tore his kurta. Onlookers recorded the scuffle, which quickly spread across social media.br br Asiya has submitted a complaint to the Superintendent of Police demanding an FIR against her husband and father-in-law. Meanwhile, no police complaint or detailed defense has been reported from the husband’s side.br br The viral video has ignited public debate over triple talaq, domestic abuse, and women’s right to resist alleged provocation.
