A trailer carrying more than 60 tonnes of beer overturned on the Mexico–Piramides Highway in Ecatepec de Morelos on Thursday morning, paralysing traffic and prompting local residents to loot the cargo.br br Footage shows the double-trailer truck on its side as people stacked cases of beer and hauled them away in plastic bags and boxes.br br Preliminary reports said the driver lost control while on a curve en route to Mexico City, causing the vehicle to overturn. Only one narrow lane remained open, with local media reporting long tailbacks in both directions.br br Members of the National Guard, firefighters and Civil Protection units attended the scene.
