Severe Tropical Storm Opong (international name: Bualoi) moved over the Mindoro Strait on Friday afternoon, Sept. 26, after leaving the Philippine landmass, and may reintensify into a typhoon before exiting the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) on Saturday, Sept. 27, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.
