After numerous lineup changes, the album "Just The Beginning" was recorded in 1971. It's a collection of Chicago blues standards, rendered in the aggressive style of Paul Butterfield and the British blues style. The disc includes great works by Howlin' Wolf, Willie Dixon, T-Bone Walker, Sonny Boy Williamson, and Magic Sam. It also features the rare track "Rollin' Man" by British blues guitarist Peter Green. The band played a variety of venues, from outdoor festivals to university fetes, coffeehouses, and even opening for more established bands. Today, "Just The Beginning" is considered a gem of heavy psych-blues. In 1977, Rick Shaffer, Tommy Geddes and Jim Peters reunited to form The Reds...br br Tracks:br 01.
