Blues Creation — Blues Creation 1969 (Japan, Hard, Blues Rock) br br In early 1969, after the breakup of The Bickies, guitaristvocalist Kazuo Takeda decided to form a rock band with a different flavor. Fascinated by Cream and the Yardbirds, the musician recruited some school friends, and the fledgling band, Blues Creation, included vocalist Fumio Fuya (ex-Taboo), bassist Yoshiyuki Noji, and drummer Shinichi Tashiro. With the support of Polydor, that same fall, the band recorded a collection of eight blues standards, played in a heavier style. Most of the compositions were by Black American musicians (Sonny Boy Williamson, Memphis Slim, Chester Burnett, Blind Willie Johnson, Willie Dixon, Otis Rush), and only the number "Double Crossing Time" was of European-white origin, performed by the duo J. Mayall and E. Clapton. br br Tracks: br br 01. Checkin' Up On My Baby - 0:00 br br 02. Steppin' Out - 4:52 br br 03. Smoke Stack Lightnin' - 7:43 br br 04. Double Crossing Time - 13:14 br br 05.
