Cam’ron Sues J. Cole, Claiming Unpaid Work On “Ready ’24” And A Broken Promise For A Future Feature.

Cam’ron has filed a lawsuit against J. Cole over their collaboration on the song “Ready ‘24.”br br According to the filing, Cam’ron says he contributed lyrics and a verse to the track—which appeared on Cole’s 2024 mixtape Might Delete Later—under the agreement that Cole would either team up with him on another project or appear on his podcast, It Is What It Is.br br Cam’ron claims that although the song was recorded back in 2022, Cole never fulfilled his end of the deal. Over the following two years, Cole allegedly declined multiple podcast invitations and failed to move forward with any new collaboration.br br Court documents state that Cole did offer to work on preexisting songs, but Cam’ron insisted on creating an entirely new track together, which never happened.br br Additionally, Cam’ron argues that he hasn’t received fair payment or credit for his contribution to “Ready ‘24.” He’s asking the court to officially name him a co-author of the song and to order a full accounting of its earnings, which he believes exceed $500,000.
