ENDANGERED RED SQUIRREL ENJOYS A PEACEFUL SNACK BY THE WATER br WITH PIX AND VIDbr By Shuk Yee Tsangbr A charming set of photos and video captures an endangered red squirrel enjoying a quiet breakfast by the water in the soft autumn light.br The moment was photographed by Jessica Dewyngaert from Belgium, who has been documenting the same red squirrel family for years and says the experience “is still a lot of fun.”br Jessica shot the scene from a hide in the woods of the Netherlands, where she spends hours waiting patiently for the fast-moving animals to appear. br On this particular morning, the forest was glowing with fall colours as the energetic squirrel paused for a snack.br Jessica has photographed red squirrels for more than five years, using a 400–600mm zoom lens to keep a respectful distance while capturing their personality.br She explained that people are drawn to her images because squirrels are “playful, curious, and full of character.br She said: “I love autumn and I especially enjoyed photographing the red squirrel on this beautiful morning in the woods.br "Red squirrels are always very active and such a joy to watch full of energy, always searching for food to eat or to hide away.br “When I photograph squirrels, I try to capture more than just their appearance I focus on a moment or expression that reveals a bit of their personality.
