Solar-Powered Coffeemaker

Solar-Powered Coffeemaker

Okay, so it's not actually a solar powered coffeemaker, it's a 120v coffeemaker being ran by a 12v deep cycle battery and inverter. br br I charged my Group 24DC 101 amp-hour (at 1 amp...) battery as full as I could get it with the 100 watt (at 18-19 volts - closer to 60-70w at battery voltage) solar panel, turned on the 1500w inverter, then turned on the 700w coffeemaker. I'm actually surprised it made all 5 cups without the inverter's low voltage alarm sounding. br br I definitely would recommend going with a larger (Group 27, 109ah at 1a; or Group 29, 114ah at 1a) battery if you wanted to reliably run a coffeemaker, though. br br For the record I do have 120v grid power, I just thought it would be neat to make my coffee this way.
