Former Brazilian president Jair Bolsonaro, who is serving a sentence in a closed prison for coup plotting, could be transferred to a semi-open prison on April 23, 2033, and become eligible for parole on March 13, 2037. This information is contained in the conviction certificate sent this week to the Federal Supreme Court by the Criminal Enforcement Court of the Federal District. Bolsonaro was sentenced to 27 years and three months in closed prison, with the end of his sentence scheduled for 2052. He began serving his final sentence at the end of November at the Federal Police headquarters in Brasília, after Minister Alexandre de Moraes ordered its execution on November 25, when Bolsonaro was in preventive detention for disobeying court orders.
