Officials said he had suffered a minor heart attack earlier, and his condition deteriorated rapidly, leaving him extremely weak.br br With no ambulance available, his wife placed him on a motorcycle and rode him to a nearby private hospital. The family alleges they were told that no doctor was available. They then went to another private hospital, where an ECG reportedly confirmed a mild heart attack. Doctors there declared him dead on arrival.br br Venkataramanan, who married in January 2020, is survived by his wife, a five-year-old son and an 18-month-old daughter. He was also the only surviving child of his mother, who had already lost her other five children earlier.br br In a final act of compassion amid tragedy, the family donated Venkataramanan’s eyes, allowing his death to give sight to others.
