br br United States forces have launched a large-scale aerial offensive against ISIS terrorist group infrastructure and weapons positions in Syria.br br The action, dubbed Operation Hawkeye Strike, was initiated following the attack against U.S. and partner forces that occurred on December 13.br br According to the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), the operation began at 4:00 p.m. Eastern Time on December 19, under direct orders from the Commander in Chief. The strikes hit more than 70 targets across multiple locations in central Syria.br br The offensive employed fighter jets, attack helicopters, and artillery, as well as the release of more than 100 precision-guided munitions against known ISIS facilities, including weapons depots and logistical structures.
