This system utilizes an additional 48 kW motor on the rear axle,² ensuring stable and safe handling on loose and slippery surfaces, thus providing a comfortable and secure driving experience even under challenging conditions.br br The system guarantees precise torque distribution between the front and rear axles. If wheel slippage is imminent, the torque is automatically adjusted to improve traction and driving stability.br br Two operating modes are available for the all-wheel-drive system. In Auto mode, the system automatically adapts to road conditions. In Trail mode, a wheel that loses traction is braked via a locking differential, and the drive torque is transferred to the opposite wheel on the same axle to ensure safer driving.br br The system also includes hill start assist and hill descent control. Active cornering control brakes the inside wheels to counteract understeer when accelerating through corners and to improve cornering behavior.
