Specialists from the United Aircraft Corporation (UAC) and the United Engine Corporation (UEC), companies that are part of the Rostec State Corporation, have begun flight tests of the new fifth-generation engine known as “Product 177,” integrated into the Su-57 combat aircraft.br br The first flight with the new powerplant was carried out by test pilot Roman Kondratiev and, according to official information, proceeded normally, within the parameters defined by the test mission. During the operation, the engine demonstrated stable and reliable performance throughout all phases of the flight.br br According to Rostec, the Sukhoi Su-57 has already proven its performance under real combat conditions, meeting the requirements established for fifth-generation aircraft, including low-observability (stealth) characteristics.
