U.S. stock futures slipped on Wednesday after Tuesday’s higher close. Futures of major benchmark indices fell.br br The equity markets will be closing at 1:00 p.m. and bond markets at 2:00 p.m. ET on the occasion of Christmas Eve, whereas it will be shut for the entire day on Thursday.br br On Tuesday, the S&P 500 index ended at a new closing record after the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) expanded at a 4.3 annualized pace in the third quarter, surpassing estimates near 3.3 and marking the fastest growth rate in two years.br br Meanwhile, the 10-year Treasury bond yielded 4.16, and the two-year bond was at 3.53. The CME Group's FedWatch tool‘s projections show markets pricing an 86.7 likelihood of the Federal Reserve leaving the current interest rates unchanged.br br The SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (NYSE:SPY) and Invesco QQQ Trust ETF (NASDAQ:QQQ), which track the S&P 500 index and Nasdaq 100 index, respectively, were lower in premarket on Tuesday. The SPY was down 0.042 at $687.67, while the QQQ declined 0.0024 to $621.96, according to Benzinga Pro data.
