Ramatam – In April Came The Dawning Of The Red Suns 1973 (USA, Psychedelic, Hard, Blues Rock)br br After recording their debut album, the musicians moved to New York and recorded their second and final album. It leans more progressive. The band's music leans more toward heavy blues, rooted more in the works of Cream and Jimi Hendrix, with a touch of jazz inflections. The band performed live and received good press, but didn't particularly prosper financially. Around this time, rumors began circulating about April—that she was actually a transvestite, as a woman couldn't perform like that. Her husband was very upset about this, and as a result, the band broke up. April Lawton worked as a painter and graphic designer. She died in 2006 of cardiac arrest.
