The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate reported that Israel’s systematic campaign of violence against the press has escalated sharply this year. In a statement released Friday, the Syndicate’s Freedom Committee accused Israeli forces of implementing a policy of silencing the press by killing, injuring, and causing permanent disability to journalists. By November 2025, at least 76 Palestinian journalists had been killed or wounded, a figure the organization described as a dangerous indicator of escalating targeting. The Committee warned that journalists are now confirmed and frequent targets, with deadly force used to prevent documentation of crimes.
