Just days before the world-renowned Times Square New Year’s Eve celebration, the giant seven-foot-tall numerals for “2026” are officially installed and illuminated for the first time atop One Times Square.br br At the test, the “2026” Numerals are lit up in red, white and blue, to celebrate the just announced partnership between New Year’s Eve in Times Square and America250, the nonpartisan organization, Chaired by Rosie Rios and charged by Congress with leading the celebration and commemoration of the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.br br One Times Square, the Times Square Alliance, and America250 announce a historic partnership, for which the event will host a second post-midnight moment on New Year’s Eve to mark the start of America’s Semiquincentennial year. The post-midnight moment will feature the Ball lighting up with an America250 design and a cascade of 2,000 pounds of red, white, and blue confetti.
