Political analyst says situation in Venezuela and region remains uncertain after US capture of Nicolas Maduro

US President Donald Trump says the United States will 'run' Venezuela for the foreseeable future, following the capture of the country's leader Nicolas Maduro and his wife. The US bombed the capital of Caracas and other locations in a lightning military operation in the early hours of the morning local time. Mr Trump, Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Secretary of Defence Pete Hegseth and other Washington officials later held a news conference about the operation.
