This is some video of a friend and I on the Douz to Ksar Ghilane piste detailed in the Sahara overland book. We did the trip in October 2009 and it was an epic 5000+ km ride over 3 weeks on a Dnepr 650 sidecar and a Ural 750 sidecar. It was great fun and I'd do it again in a heartbeat!! br The camera is mounted on my friends Ural as he tackles some of the really steep dunes on the trail - it's amazing what these 1 wheel drive sidecars managed to cope with. The trick was lowering the tyre pressures and sitting between tne bike and sidecar to spread the weight on the 3 wheels.
