The studio, closed since 1977, after the acting course offered by the institute was scrapped, was re-opened by acting guru Roshan Taneja.Those present during the event were actors Shabana Azmi, Naseeruddin Shah, Acahla Sachdev, Rita Bhaduri, Paintal, Kanwaljeet Singh, Benjamin Gilani, Rakesh Bedi, Romesh Sharma and Mukesh Khanna.
