Garry bangs on the Slaters' door and begs Lynne to see him, but she refuses. Charlie says perhaps she could at least hear what his reason was for being late. Mark chats to Garry, who snaps back at him, saying he never got the chance to tell Lynne why he was late. Zoe is miserable and tells Mark she hates this place. Mark laughs that he felt the same at her age when he ran away to Southend.
