The MiD DAY-Radio One campaign with the Mumbai Traffic Police, Regional Transport Office and taxi union came to the end of its first week. On the last day, 61 taxi drivers were caught. While passengers still had to wait for a cab, the cabbies played smart by using tricks like half meter and meter down. At several locations the police had to struggle with the cabbies who were caught because they refused to ply. The other main problem was the common man, who majorly didnt co-operate with the police when it came to registering the complaint.
