pbr Cumbria killer Derrick Bird shot many of his victims in the face, a senior medic who dealt with casualties has said.br ppbr Charles Brett, clinical director of emergency services at West Cumberland Hospital in Whitehaven, said: "It appears this gentleman was firing out of a car window at head height. It is clear that he was directing at the face and head."br ppbr More than 50 per cent of those that survived had some kind of facial injury, he added.br ppbr Two of those are in a stable but serious condition, while four others are described as "comfortable".br ppbr Of the 11 adults wounded in the attacks, six remain in hospital.br ppbr Five of the survivors were shot in the face, two in the back, one in the back and arms and another in the chest, doctors said.
