When I tell him the money he'll be spending in the House comes from my pockets, he understands totally because it comes from his personal pockets too. Mark seems to understand that creating jobs is not about raising taxes but rather, creating an environment where small businesses can succeed and thus hire more workers. Mark is a family man, just like me. He understands that being a dad is more than just being a father and that there are commitments associated with being a dad for the rest of his life. He obviously loves his wife and treats her with dignity and respect. They are partners in their family, not just a husband and wife. I'm impressed that God is the head of his family and is involved in the partnership with him and his wife. Mark is a man of his word. I don't believe his opponent, the Democrat Geoff Simpson, has a college degree. Mark Hargrove has been a regular attendee, many times along with his lovely wife, Sandy, at the 47th district KCGOP meetings, so Mark is in touch with the people and issues of the 47th district. Mark has maintained a happy marriage for 31 years now, and fully supported his family of 2 daughters until they have each started their own marriages. Also, unlike Geoff Simpson who has unkind words for some with whom he disagrees, I have witnessed Mark having had cheerful relations with all he's met on the campaign trail!
